Job summary

MedRecruit Limited is sourcing a Medical Specialist (Psychiatry) for a locum assignment in Broken Hill, NSW. You will join a multi-disciplinary team to deliver psychiatric care in a 98-bed hospital serving the NSW outback region.

The role runs 20–26 December 2026. Travel and accommodation are included; rates are all-inclusive of superannuation and casual loading where applicable.

• Must have current AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner.

Located in a classic outback town with heaps of personality, this 98-bed hospital is a major referal centre for the region. It provides a range of inpatient and outpatient services including caner care, gynaecology, mental health and general medical and surgical services.

The recent $30-million upgrades and redevelopments have been completed, with an upgraded oncology unit and ambulatory wing reconfiguration. A Royal Flying Doctors Base is also located nearby.
