Job summary

Golding seeks a Specialist Commercial Analyst to join Meandu Mine, supporting project performance through financial analysis, commercial leadership, and contract management. You will work closely with operational leaders and corporate stakeholders to drive commercial outcomes.

The role offers exposure to activity-based costing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial governance, with opportunities to influence decision making and improve profitability within mining, construction, or heavy industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor level or higher in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or related discipline.
• Experience in commercial analysis with budgeting, forecasting, and contract management in mining, construction, or heavy industry.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with the ability to translate data into practical recommendations.
• Solid understanding of contractual obligations, risk management, and financial governance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate month-end reporting, financial analysis, variance reporting, and project forecasting.
• Manage project claims, budgets and cost control activities with commercial input to operations.
• Support contract administration and compliance, including interpretation of contract terms and risk identification.
• Conduct financial modelling and performance analysis to identify risks, trends, and opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvement across commercial systems, processes, and reporting.

Golding is currently recruiting for a Specialist Commercial Analyst to join our team at Meandu Mine. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded professional to play a key role in supporting project performance through financial analysis, commercial leadership, contract management, and strategic decision-making. Working closely with operational leaders and corporate stakeholders, you will help drive commercial outcomes and provide valuable insights that contribute to project success.

Option for residential or DIDO with accommodation provided and option foror flexible work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate and timely month-end reporting, financial analysis, variance reporting, and project forecasting to support operational decision-making.
• Manage project claims, budgets and cost control activities while providing commercial advice to operational teams.
• Support contract administration and compliance activities, including interpretation of contract terms, risk identification, stakeholder engagement, and resolution of commercial issues.
• Conduct financial modelling and performance analysis to identify risks, trends, and opportunities that improve project profitability and commercial outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement across commercial systems, processes, and reporting.

Capability Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in commercial analysis with a sound understanding of Activity Based Costing, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and contract management within mining, construction, or heavy industry environments.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide practical commercial recommendations.
• Sound understanding of contractual obligations, risk management, and financial governance principles.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience working with SAP and proficiency in Microsoft Excel essential and experience with XERAS would be advantageous.
