Peoplefusion is seeking a Clinic Assistant to join a well-established specialist medical practice in Newcastle. This hands-on, patient-facing role offers comprehensive training with a clear path to permanent employment.

You will work across multiple locations, support patients before consultations, and assist with routine clinical tasks. Ideal candidates have medical or allied health experience, strong communication, empathy for elderly or anxious patients, and a proactive, detail-focused

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a medical, optical, allied health or similar patient-facing environment.
• A kind, patient and compassionate approach, particularly when supporting elderly or anxious patients.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to accurately follow clinical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and preparing them for specialist consultations.
• Conducting preliminary examinations, measurements and diagnostic testing using specialised equipment.
• Gathering and accurately recording relevant medical histories and patient information.
• Assisting with patient preparation under clinical direction.
• Providing reassurance and support to patients, particularly those who may be elderly or anxious.
• Working closely with the clinical team to maintain efficient patient flow.
• Learning and confidently operating a range of specialised clinical equipment.
