Job summary

Maranoa Regional Council seeks two Casual Specialised Programs Instructors to deliver high‑quality aquatic and fitness classes at the new Aquatic Centre. Responsibilities include aqua aerobics, yoga, strength and mobility sessions for a wide range of ages and abilities.

You will promote health and wellbeing, maintain safety standards, and support community engagement while providing an inclusive, engaging class experience.

Qualifications

• Mandatory Group Fitness Instructor accreditation (Cert III or higher).
• CPR certification, First Aid certification current.
• Valid C class driver's licence required.

Responsibilities

• Program Delivery of aqua aerobics, yoga, strength, mobility and other sessions.
• Ensure safety and supervision during classes.
• Maintain program quality and administrative duties.
• Provide leadership and support to a team.
• Uphold safety and compliance standards.

Purpose:

The Specialised Programs Instructor is responsible for delivering high‑quality group fitness programs—including aqua aerobics, yoga,strength training, mobility classes, and other specialised sessions that promote health, wellbeing, and community engagement. This role creates safe,motivating, and inclusive classes tailored to a wide range of ages, abilities,and fitness levels.

Instructors play a key role in supporting the Centre’shealth and wellness objectives by providing engaging classes, maintainingsafety standards, and fostering a positive, community‑focused environment.

Mandatory and Highly Desirable Qualifications and Licences:

To be successful you will need to demonstrate that you meet the below mandatory requirements for the role:

• Current C (Car) Class Driver Licence
• GroupFitness Instructor accreditation (e.g., Cert III or higher in Fitness, AquaInstructor certification)

Yogaor specialty certification (if delivering yoga or similar programs)

• CPRcertification (current)
• FirstAid certification (current)
