Job summary

Downer is seeking experienced Specialised Pavement Operators to join our Airports and Specialised Pavements team based out of Eastern Creek. These roles involve airport, spray seal and pavement projects across Sydney Metro and regional NSW, with about 40% travel away from home.

You will operate and maintain specialised pavement equipment, perform crack and spray sealing, asphalt paving and pavement rehabilitation, and support project delivery with a strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• Minimum HR Licence (HC highly regarded).
• Experience operating bitumen spray trucks or similar equipment.
• Civil construction, road maintenance or infrastructure experience.
• Dangerous Goods Licence preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain specialised pavement and civil construction equipment.
• Carry out crack sealing and spray sealing activities.
• Perform asphalt paving and pavement rehabilitation works.
• Operate mobile asphalt and KMA plants.
• Support project delivery with safety, quality and productivity standards.
• Work across Sydney Metro and regional NSW with ~40% travel away from home.
