Job description

Spare Parts Interpreter – Traction Ag Swan Hill

Traction Ag Swan Hill is looking for a motivated and customer-focused person to join our team as a Spare Parts Interpreter.

This is a varied role that will suit someone who enjoys working with people, staying organised and getting things done. While previous agricultural machinery or spare parts experience would be an advantage, it is not essential. We are equally interested in someone with the right attitude, communication skills and willingness to learn.

About the role

Working as part of our dealership team, you will be involved in a variety of day-to-day activities, including:

  • Providing friendly and efficient customer service, both in person and over the phone
  • Identifying and supplying parts for customers and workshop requirements
  • Ordering, receiving and handling parts and stock
  • Maintaining accurate inventory and stock control
  • Assisting with stock organisation and general parts department duties
  • Working closely with our service and sales teams to keep jobs moving
  • Communicating with customers, suppliers and internal staff
  • Assisting with parts sales and identifying opportunities to better support our customers
  • Using computer-based systems for parts enquiries, ordering and inventory management
What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A confident and clear communicator
  • Customer-focused and approachable
  • Well organised and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Reliable, practical and willing to get involved
  • Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
  • A problem solver with a can-do attitude
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Willing to learn about agricultural machinery and spare parts

Previous spare parts, automotive, agricultural machinery or dealership experience would be an advantage, but is not essential.

If you have experience in parts, we want to hear from you. Equally, if you have strong customer service, retail, warehouse, trade or administrative experience and are looking for an opportunity to learn something new, we’d like to hear from you too.

This is more than just a parts counter role. You’ll work closely with customers, technicians, sales staff and suppliers, giving you exposure to many different areas of the dealership and the opportunity to build your knowledge and skills within the agricultural machinery industry.

If you’re organised, enjoy dealing with people and have an “let’s get it done” attitude, we’d like to hear from you.
