Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking a hardware engineering manager to lead the design, implementation and validation of space-grade hardware electronics for payload antenna systems.

You will manage and grow your team, develop project plans, budgets, timelines and resources, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system integrity and performance. This role requires a strong mix of leadership and technical depth in space hardware development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of board level analog/digital design with large ASICs.
• 3+ years in a technical leading role and a management position.
• 5+ years in high-speed digital design, multi-gigabit SERDES, signal and power integrity.
• 5+ years using lab equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and multimeters.
• Experience with advanced CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and validation of space-grade hardware electronics for payload antenna systems.
• Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, timelines and resources.
• Develop processes for efficient execution on priorities.
• Execute on a HW development process for complex antenna systems.
• Innovate with your team on challenges unique to Leo.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system integrity and performance.
• Lead and coordinate technical trades in PCB development, digital electronics, high-speed interfaces, reliability and DFx.
• Lead the team developing hardware for advanced antenna systems in space applications.
