Job summary

Amazon LEO is building next-generation satellite communications hardware to advance global broadband access. As a Hardware Development Engineer on the Antenna team, you will influence the lifecycle of phased array antenna systems from concept to production.

You will design PCBs and antennas, work on high-speed digital/RF hardware, and develop basic signaling algorithms while collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors to keep production on schedule.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hardware design and validation experience.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, materials science, physics or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design PCBs, antennas, high-speed digital/RF circuitry, and test fixtures.
• Develop basic signaling and control algorithms for hardware interfaces.
• Bring up, test and optimize phased array antenna prototypes in the lab.
• Collaborate with silicon, software, mechanical and avionics teams for hardware interoperability.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to manage parts and production schedules.
