Job summary

Amazon LEO is building a satellite-based broadband system. We seek an Antenna Systems Engineer to design, validate, and optimize antennas and arrays for space and ground segments. You will work across EM design tools, RF analysis, and lab validation to deliver high-performance RF links.

You will own RF performance end-to-end and collaborate with RFIC, PA/LNA, calibration and software teams. Expertise in antenna design and EM tools is essential for success.

Qualifications

• BS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of antenna design research and/or development.
• Experience with Matlab, Python or C++, and one antenna simulation tool (CST/HFSS).

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize antenna and array architectures to meet RF goals.
• Own end-to-end RF performance from ADC/DAC through front-end to antenna radiation.
• Simulate element/array performance using EM tools and evaluate mutual coupling and patterns.
• Collaborate with calibration, software, DSP, ASIC, and validation teams to define system strategies.
• Define and maintain antenna specifications at module, aperture, and system levels.
• Support prototype builds, chamber testing, and over-the-air validation.
