Job summary

Bodhi Wellness Spa Retreat in Perth is seeking a seasoned Spa Manager to lead daily operations of our Westin Perth facility and deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will oversee service quality, supervise the spa team, manage budgets and drive revenue growth while upholding health and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have proven spa management or wellness leadership experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to develop staff and optimise operations in a premium spa

Qualifications

• Experience leading operations in spa, wellness or beauty services.
• Strong knowledge of spa treatments and wellness practices.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent guest service and customer satisfaction focus.
• Financial acumen with budgeting/forecasting experience.
• Organisational and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of health, safety and hygiene standards for spa facilities.
• Familiarity with spa management software or POS systems; Phorest desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant qualifications in spa management or related fields; first aid beneficial.

Responsibilities

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Spa Manager to lead our operations at Bodhi Wellness Spa Retreat at Westin Perth. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our spa facility and delivering exceptional service to our valued clients. As Spa Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily operations, team management, customer satisfaction and business performance. This position is integral to maintaining our reputation as a leading wellness destination in Perth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily spa operations and ensure all services are delivered to the highest standards of quality and professionalism
• Manage and supervise the spa team, including scheduling, training, performance management and staff development
• Maintain financial records, manage budgets and work towards achieving revenue targets and profitability goals
• Monitor inventory levels of spa products, supplies and equipment, ensuring timely reordering and cost efficiency
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations, including maintaining detailed records and conducting regular audits
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries, concerns and feedback promptly and professionally
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction, retention and loyalty
• Liaise with suppliers and service providers to maintain quality standards and negotiate competitive pricing
• Promote spa services and wellness programmes to drive guest bookings and revenue growth
• Maintain detailed records of guest preferences, treatments and any special requirements to personalise their experience

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a manager or supervisor in a spa, wellness or beauty services environment
• Strong knowledge of spa treatments, beauty services and wellness practices within the hair and beauty industry
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop a team effectively
• Excellent customer service skills with a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction
• Sound financial and business acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial management
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
• Knowledge of health, safety and hygiene standards relevant to spa and wellness facilities
• Proficiency with spa management software and point-of-sale systems ie. Phorest is desirable
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guests, team and management alike
• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges
• Relevant qualifications in spa management, Beauty therapy or Massage Therapy or a related field would be advantageous
• Current First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it
