Qualifications

• Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in cleaning industry.

• Familiarity with scheduling and invoicing systems is desirable.

About the role

Cleanworks Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced South Australia Operations Manager to join our dynamic team in Adelaide, SA. This is a full-time position based in Adelaide SA 5000. As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of our cleaning services division across South Australia, ensuring excellence in service delivery, customer satisfaction, and team performance. This is a strategic role that will have a significant impact on the growth and success of our operations in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of cleaning services across South Australia, ensuring all contracts are executed to the highest standards
• Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and staff deployment to ensure optimal service delivery and customer satisfaction
• Recruit, train, supervise and develop cleaning staff and team leaders, fostering a positive and productive work environment
• Monitor operational budgets, control costs, and ensure profitability of service contracts
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients whilst identifying opportunities for business growth and new contract acquisition
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to meet service level agreements and customer expectations
• Analyse operational performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality
• Handle customer concerns and complaints professionally, ensuring timely resolution and customer retention
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and cost efficiency

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years' experience in operations management within the cleaning services industry or similar service-based business
• Proven track record of successfully managing budgets, P&L responsibilities, and operational costs
• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities with strong attention to detail
• Customer-focused mindset with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements in the cleaning industry
• Problem-solving capability and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with computer systems and business management software; experience with scheduling and invoicing systems is desirable
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel across South Australia as required
• Flexibility to work outside standard business hours when necessary to support operations
