We are seeking a passionate and drivenChef de Partieto join our dynamic kitchen and contribute to delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
Job Description
- Supervise and coordinate all operational aspects of the Restaurant and In-Room Dining kitchen, working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef, andcovering intheir absence whenrequired.
- Ensure all team members follow departmental and hotel policies, procedures, and Sofitel standards, including HACCP requirements, tomaintainhigh levelsof cleanliness,organisation, and food safety.
- Assistin menu preparation and planning (à la carte, banquets, afternoon teas, amenities), ensuring adequate supplies for service andmaintaininghigh presentation standards within cost margins.
- Monitor stock levels, enforce strict stock rotation,minimisewaste, and implement effective stock control procedures.
- Prepare and present dishes with variety, creativity, and flair, whilemaintainingconsistency and quality.
- Delegate tasks and support team members, including apprentices, to ensure efficient workflow and service standards are met.
- Liaise with team membersregardingmenu availability, updates, and any changes in service requirements.
- Maintain all kitchen equipment, service areas, and workstations in a clean andorganisedstate; report any maintenance or operational issues promptly.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new procedures, menu ideas, and service improvements.
Qualifications
About You
You are a passionate and motivated chef who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen and takes pride in delivering exceptional food and guest experiences. You lead by example, maintain high standards, and enjoy supporting and developing others.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a hotel or quality hospitality venue.
- Strong knowledge of à la carte service, banquets, and food safety (HACCP).
- A passion for producing high-quality food with consistency and attention to detail.
- Experience supervising, coaching, or mentoring junior team members.
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage stock, minimise waste, and work well under pressure.
- A relevant Commercial Cookery qualification
