Job summary

Royal Motor Yacht Club Newport venues are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team. This permanent full‑time role offers leadership in a brand‑new elevated kitchen, with opportunities across dining, events and providore experiences.

Reporting to the Head Chef and Executive Chef, you will manage daily kitchen operations, mentor staff, oversee food quality and HACCP, monitor stock, and collaborate with front‑of‑house to deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Work in partnership with the Head Chef in the supervision of daily kitchen operation in the absence of the Head Chef
• Support the Executive Chef & Head Chef in leading, developing, and mentoring kitchen staff
• Ensure a high standard of kitchen hygiene, stock rotation, cool room cleanliness and organisation
• Be across daily operations such as stocktake, food ordering, prep list, and staff management
• Liaise with front of house key stakeholders to ensure smooth operation and service delivery excellence
