Job summary

Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge is seeking a Sous Chef to join the Kitchen team at Cradle Mountain, within the World Heritage area. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will assist in daily food preparation and contribute to creating new menus and guest experiences.

The successful candidate will deliver both A la Carte and Function dining, working in a high-volume environment. A Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery and strong leadership, plus HACCP knowledge, are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate III & IV in Commercial cookery (minimum).
• Experience as a Sous Chef able to lead a Team.
• Experience in a similar role in an a la carte hotel restaurant or functions kitchen will be highly regarded
• Planning and organisational skills
• Enthusiasm and creative approach to providing high quality food
• An understanding of food safety and HACCP principles
• Availability to participate in a 7 day working roster of days, nights and weekends.
• Ability to work under pressure in a high volume, fast paced environment.

We are currently seeking a newSous Chef to join our Kitchen team .

Reporting to the Head Chef, you will assist in daily food preparation, execution and be an integral part of creating new and exciting menus and experiences for our guests. Whether it be from the kitchen itself or from our extensive kitchen garden showcasing our homegrown produce, if you are looking for a role with diversity we'd love to hear from you. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to deliver both A la Carte and Function and Wedding dining experiences.

ABOUT YOU:

Salary $76,000- $80,000 pa including single accommodation and Meals
