Job summary

Cornerstone Health is seeking a skilled Sonographer to join our Our Medical Radiology team on the Gold Coast. You will deliver high-quality ultrasound services across a range of studies, with autonomous practice in a modern integrated healthcare environment.

You will bring ASAR accreditation, a degree or diploma in Medical Ultrasound, and proven ability to perform diagnostic and interventional ultrasound, with strong communication to radiologists and referring clinicians.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Medical Ultrasound (or equivalent).
• Current ASAR accreditation as Accredited Medical Sonographer.
• Proven ability to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures independently.
• Experience with interventional ultrasound examinations.
• Strong communication and teamwork with radiologists and clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations across a broad range of studies including interventional procedures.
• Operate specialised imaging equipment with accuracy, efficiency, and clinical confidence.
• Deliver an exceptional patient experience, ensuring care, comfort, and clear communication.

About You

You are a confident and experienced Sonographer who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and thrives in a fast-paced, patient-centred environment.

You will bring:

• A degree or diploma in Medical Ultrasound (or equivalent qualification)
• Current ASAR accreditation as an Accredited Medical Sonographer
• Proven ability to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures independently
• Experience performing complex and interventional ultrasound examinations
• Proven ability to identify and effectively communicate findings to radiologists referring practitioners
• Strong clinical judgement, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to engage both patients and healthcare professionals
• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• A strong commitment to best practice, patient care, and continuous improvement
