Job summary

The Recruitment Hive Pty Ltd is seeking a Solutions Architect for a Federal Government regulator overseeing emissions, carbon and renewable energy schemes in Canberra. You will design end-to-end technology solutions and govern artefacts, guiding delivery and ensuring secure integration of Microsoft technologies and AI capabilities.

Ideal candidates have at least three years in architecture roles within regulated environments, with strong Azure expertise and TOGAF or similar certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years’ experience in solution or software architecture in government or regulated environments.
• Experience providing architecture guidance across the delivery lifecycle in scaled agile settings.
• Strong knowledge of architecture standards, patterns and modelling with Azure focus.
• Professional certifications such as TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, or other Microsoft certifications.

Responsibilities

Job description

Our client, an independent Federal Government regulator responsible for administering emissions reduction, carbon and renewable energy schemes, require the services of a Solutions Architect.

Duties

• Develop and maintain solution architecture artefacts, including designs, diagrams, Architecture Decision Records, decision papers and other governance documentation.
• Provide architecture guidance throughout the delivery lifecycle and oversee implementation of approved designs through review, advice and technical decision-making.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, including Microsoft and Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities, and assess their secure and responsible integration into the CER technology ecosystem.
• Design end-to-end technology solutions that meet business, security, privacy, integration, performance and regulatory requirements.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum three years’ experience in solution or software architecture role within government or a regulated environment, including development of end-to-end solution designs and architectural artefacts.
• Demonstrated experience working within a scaled agile delivery environment and providing architecture guidance throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of architecture standards, frameworks, patterns and modelling techniques with a particular expertise in Microsoft and Azure technologies.
• Relevant professional certifications, such as TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and relevant Microsoft certifications.
