Job summary

The Recruitment Hive Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect for a major Federal Government department responsible for agriculture, fisheries, forestry, biosecurity and agricultural trade.

You will provide enterprise architecture consulting across diverse initiatives, deliver architecture assurance, develop cloud and infrastructure architectures, and create technology roadmaps to guide investment and modernisation.

Qualifications

• TOGAF framework and target-state modelling experience.
• Strong architecture governance and design review skills.
• Experience with Azure cloud and hybrid environments.
• Ability to develop technology roadmaps and strategic plans.
• Proven solution architecture and technical design assessment capabilities.
• Knowledge of information, records and archive architecture (Content Manager).
• Familiarity with technology standards and reference architectures.
• Ability to align initiatives with department strategies and policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise architecture consulting aligned with department strategies.
• Deliver architecture assurance across project lifecycles.
• Monitor technology landscape for risks and technical debt.
• Develop and maintain cloud, infrastructure and platform architectures.
• Create technology roadmaps guiding investment decisions.
• Identify, assess and mitigate technology risks.
• Contribute to evidence-based architecture advice for value-for-money outcomes.

Our client, a major Federal Government department responsible for agriculture, fisheries, forestry, biosecurity and agricultural trade, are seeking the experience of an Enterprise Architects

Key Duties and Responsibilities of the Enterprise Architect

• Provide enterprise architecture consulting services across diverse business and technology initiatives, ensuring solutions align with departmental strategies, standards and target-state architectures;
• Deliver architecture assurance services throughout project lifecycles;
• Monitor enterprise technology landscapes, identifying emerging risks, architecture issues, technical debt and opportunities for optimisation;
• Develop and maintain cloud, infrastructure and platform architectures to support scalable, secure and cost-effective technology services;
• Create and maintain technology roadmaps that guide future investment decisions, capability development and technology modernisation initiatives;
• Identify, assess and mitigate technology risks, ensuring solutions are fit-for-purpose, supportable and aligned with enterprise policies; &
• Contribute to improved investment outcomes by providing evidence-based architecture advice that supports informed decision-making and value-for-money outcome.
