Job summary

Parliament of NSW seeks a Solution Architect - Infrastructure and Platform to lead design of resilient, secure, and scalable infrastructure and platform solutions underpinning NSW Parliament’s digital services. You will ensure designs meet security, performance, and operational requirements to support business outcomes.

• Ongoing full-time - Sydney CBD based


• $133,348 to $146,945 per annum, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

The Solution Architect - Infrastructure and Platform provides specialist leadership in the design of resilient, secure, and scalable infrastructure and platform solutions that underpin NSW Parliament’s digital services.

The role ensures that infrastructure designs meet operational, security, performance, and strategic requirements, supporting the effective delivery of business outcomes

Based in NSW Parliament, the Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is a specialist service department working to support the operation of the Parliament of NSW by providing logistical support and advice to members, the Departments of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly and the people of New South Wales. About you

In this role you will need an extensive experience designing and delivering infrastructure and platform solutions across hybrid environments (cloud and on-premises). A sound knowledge of cloud services (IaaS, PaaS), network and systems architecture, and platform resilience design. This role requires a contemporary understanding of infrastructure automation, observability, and service management integration

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.


• Certification or experience with ITIL Foundation (or higher) in service management practices.


• Certification or equivalent experience in infrastructure and/or network architecture (e.g. VMware, HPE, Cisco, Microsoft)
