Skilled Jobs Australia is seeking Solid Plasterers to join established site teams in Sydney. You will deliver high-quality plastering work across commercial, industrial, education and residential projects in line with project specifications and safety standards.

Duties include preparing surfaces, applying plaster and render, cutting plasterboard, reading drawings, maintaining a safe work area, and coordinating with other trades to meet project timelines.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or minimum 3 years plastering experience in commercial or residential builds.
• Ability to read plans and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Reliable, safety-focused and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsabilités

• Prepare surfaces for rendering, including cleaning, patching and applying bonding agents as required.
• Mix and apply coats of plaster, render and cement using recognised techniques for uniform coverage.
• Cut, shape and position plasterboard sheets, securing them to walls, ceilings and frames.
• Install beads, trims and mouldings to strengthen corners and add decorative detail.
• Prepare joints, gaps and fixings with plaster compounds, smoothing surfaces to a professional finish.
• Apply decorative finishes including texture coats and solid plaster to a high standard.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
• Maintain a safe work environment and comply with WHS policies.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver projects on time and to specification.

They are looking for Solid Plasterers to work as part of established site teams. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality plastering work in line with project specifications and safety standards.

Duties may include:

• Prepare surfaces for rendering, including cleaning, patching and applying bonding agents as required

• Mix and apply coats of plaster, render and cement using recognised techniques for uniform coverage

• Cut, shape and position plasterboard sheets, securing them to walls, ceilings and supporting frames

• Install beads, trims and mouldings to strengthen corners and add decorative detail

• Prepare joints, gaps and fixings with plaster compounds, smoothing surfaces to a professional finish

• Apply decorative finishes including texture coats and solid plaster to the highest standard

• Calculate and order material quantities accurately to minimise waste and maximise efficiency

• Maintain a safe work environment at all times, adhering to WHS policies and site requirements

• Collaborate with the team to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification
• Keeping your work area clean, safe, and compliant
• Reading and interpreting construction drawings and plans
• Use of hand and power tools in a construction environment
• General site duties and coordination with other trades
• Maintaining a safe and compliant work area

Skills & Experience

• Relevant trade qualification or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience in commercial or residential construction environments
• Ability to interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work both independently and in a team

Salary Range: $79,500-$85,000 pa + super
