Job summary

Montgomery Advisory is seeking a Solicitor/Senior Associate (2+ PAE) to join its Banking & Finance team in Sydney, with opportunities in Brisbane or Canberra as well.

You will work closely with a Banking & Finance Partner and a collaborative team on complex funding arrangements, capital markets transactions and client advisory work in a growing practice.

Qualifications

• 2+ years post-admission experience at Solicitor through to Senior Associate level in Banking & Finance.
• Experience in securitisation, structured finance, debt capital markets, derivatives or other complex financing transactions.
• Excellent drafting, analytical and technical legal skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a growing team.
• Proactive, commercially minded approach and interest in developing specialist expertise.

Responsibilities

• Act for major banks, non-bank lenders, financial institutions, investment funds and corporate clients.
• Assist with structuring, negotiating and executing complex funding arrangements and capital markets transactions.
• Manage transaction workstreams and coordinate with clients, counterparties and other advisers throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Work directly with clients and develop commercial relationships across the banking and finance sector.

The Banking & Finance team advises leading financial institutions, lenders and investors on complex financing transactions, with a particular focus on securitisation, structured finance and sophisticated funding arrangements.

The Role

An excellent opportunity exists for a Solicitor/Senior Associate (2+ PAE) to join a growing Banking & Finance practice in Sydney, Brisbane or Canberra, with other Australian locations also considered.

Working closely with an experienced Banking & Finance Partner and a collaborative team, you will:

• Act for major banks, non-bank lenders, financial institutions, investment funds and corporate clients.
• Assist with structuring, negotiating and executing complex funding arrangements and capital markets transactions.
• Manage transaction workstreams and coordinate with clients, counterparties and other advisers throughout the transaction lifecycle.

About you

Ideally, you will have 2+ Years post admissionexperience at Solicitor through to Senior Associate level, gained within a well-regarded Banking & Finance, Capital Markets or Structured Finance practice.

Additionally, you will have:

• Experience in securitisation, structured finance, debt capital markets, derivatives or other complex financing transactions.
• Excellent drafting, analytical and technical legal skills.
