Job summary

AC Solar Warehouse in Cairns is seeking an Electrical Fitter Mechanic / Switchboard Assembler to join a fast-growing solar hardware team. You will construct, assemble and wire switchboards and other electrical and mechanical products alongside our manufacturing and engineering team.

This full-time role runs 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, based in Cairns at our head office. You’ll work in a well-equipped, supportive environment with training and opportunities to grow with the business.

Qualifications

• Electrical Fitter / Mechanic qualification required.
• QTP qualification is advantageous but not required.
• Forklift license advantageous but not required.
• Switchboard building experience advantageous.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• High attention to detail.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
• Ability to learn quickly in a small team.
• Full unrestricted working rights in Australia and a current driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Construct custom Solar Distribution Boards and other electrical/mechanical products with the manufacturing team.
• Construct, assemble, and wire switchboards and electrical products to relevant standards.
