Job summary

Bovara in Huntingwood, NSW, is seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter / Switchboard Builder to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble and wire low-voltage switchboards, including distribution boards and meter panels, and work on modular and welded constructions, ensuring quality and safety standards.

You should have at least three years hands-on experience assembling switchboards, strong busbar skills, and the ability to read electrical schematics and GA drawings.

Bovara is a growing Australian electrical manufacturing business specialising in the design and manufacture of low-voltage switchboards and electrical solutions for commercial and industrial applications.

Due to continued demand, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter / Switchboard Builder to join our manufacturing team in Huntingwood.

This is a secure, full-time workshop-based role for a capable and hands-on switchboard builder who takes pride in quality workmanship, safety, accuracy and delivering work right the first time.

The Role

You will be responsible for assembling and wiring low-voltage switchboards, including distribution boards, metering panels and larger switchboard assemblies up to 2500A.

You will work across modular and welded switchboard constructions and play an important role in ensuring our products meet high standards of quality, workmanship and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and fit low-voltage switchboards in a workshop environment
• Complete busbar fabrication, installation and component mounting
• Carry out control wiring and meter panel wiring
• Build modular and welded switchboard assemblies
• Interpret electrical schematics, general arrangement drawings and wiring diagrams
• Work in accordance with approved drawings, quality standards, safety requirements and production schedules
• Identify and resolve assembly issues promptly, escalating where required
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
• Contribute positively to a collaborative and quality-focused team environment

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• At least three years’ hands-on experience assembling and wiring low-voltage switchboards, strongly preferred
• Demonstrated capability in busbar work, control wiring, component mounting and switchboard assembly
• Experience working with modular and welded switchboard constructions
• Ability to confidently read and interpret electrical schematics, GA drawings and wiring diagrams
• Strong attention to detail, neat workmanship and a right-first-time mindset
• A practical, reliable and can-do approach
• High safety awareness and disciplined work habits
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team

Electrical trade qualifications are highly regarded. Applicants undertaking electrical wiring duties must hold, or work under, the appropriate qualifications, licence and supervision arrangements.
