RenewCo Solar in Sydney NSW is seeking an experienced Solar Install Team Leader to guide a team of solar installers, ensuring high-quality installations and exceptional customer satisfaction. This full-time role combines hands-on technical work with people leadership to deliver projects on time and safely.

You will oversee daily operations, enforce safety standards, mentor staff, coordinate timelines across sites and maintain project documentation.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Solar Install Team Leader to join RenewCo Solar in Sydney NSW. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to lead and manage a team of solar installers whilst ensuring the delivery of high-quality installations and outstanding customer satisfaction. As Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, maintaining safety standards, managing project timelines and mentoring your team to achieve excellence in all aspects of their work. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will continue to contribute technically whilst managing team performance and development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and motivate a team of solar installers and technicians on installation and maintenance projects
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards, in compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices
• Plan and deliver to project timelines to meet client deadlines
• Ensure pre & post installation checks are performed to verify workmanship meets company standards and client expectations
• Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance work and project documentation
• Communicate effectively with clients, and other stakeholders regarding project progress and any issues
• Monitor inventory of materials and equipment, ensuring adequate supplies are maintained for each project
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to continuous development of team capabilities
• Assist with health and safety compliance, incident reporting and investigation when required

What we’re looking for

• Current electrical and SAA qualifications, demonstrating strong knowledge of solar system installation
• Proven experience working in solar installation or renewable energy sector
• Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience, with the ability to manage and motivate a team
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and practices relevant to electrical work and solar installations
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with team members, clients and stakeholders
• Knowledge of solar PV systems, installation techniques and industry standards
• Competency in using relevant tools and equipment safely and effectively
• Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to quality and customer service
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to various sites across the Sydney region
• Familiarity with project management practices and basic administrative tasks
