Aussie Broadband, a leading Australian telco, is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team of engineers, delivering scalable, secure and customer-focused software. You will champion engineering excellence, drive platform modernisation, and collaborate with stakeholders across Technology and the business to achieve strategic outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading software engineers in a high-performing team.
• Strong stakeholder management and delivery focus.
• Experience designing, building and integrating APIs and distributed services.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and automated deployment frameworks.
• Strong understanding of modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) and responsive design.

You'll build team capability, drive engineering excellence and help deliver strategic outcomes that support ABB's continued growth.Providing technical leadership and direction, ensuring solutions align with business objectives, architecture standards, security requirements and engineering best practices.Building a high-performing, accountable and collaborative engineering culture that encourages innovation, continuous improvement and team engagement.Leading the design, development and delivery of scalable solutions across customer-facing applications, digital services and internal platforms.Driving engineering excellence through effective development practices including code reviews, testing, quality assurance and CI/CD.Identifying automation and optimisation opportunities that improve efficiency and enable teams to focus on delivering greater value.Coaching, mentoring and developing engineers through regular feedback, career development and performance conversations.Partnering with stakeholders across Technology and the broader business to shape solutions and drive successful delivery outcomes.Leading the resolution of complex technical, scalability, performance and architectural challenges.Supporting and contributing to ABB's broader replatforming initiatives and technology transformation programs.We’re looking for a leader who combines technical excellence with a strong focus on delivery and people.
