Job summary
Aussie Broadband is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team and drive scalable, secure software solutions across customer-facing apps, digital services and internal platforms.
You will coach engineers, align technical work with business goals, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-impact projects in a distributed environment. Flexible work arrangements available.
Qualifications
- Experience delivering commercial software solutions using modern frameworks and practices.
- Proven success leading and developing Software Engineers within a high-performing team.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to align technical solutions with business outcomes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability with experience resolving complex technical challenges.
- Strong understanding of modern web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and responsive design.
- Expertise in database design, schema architecture, performance tuning and query optimization.
- Experience designing, building and integrating APIs and distributed services.
- Track record of delivering scalable, secure and maintainable software solutions in complex environments.
- Experience integrating enterprise applications with third-party platforms and external services.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and automated deployment frameworks.
- Experience supporting platform modernization, transformation or replatforming initiatives.
- Experience leading and working with distributed or remote teams.

- Partner with stakeholders across Technology and business to shape solutions and delivery outcomes.
- Tackle complex technical, scalability and architectural challenges.
- Support and contribute to replatforming and technology transformation programs.

As our Software Engineering Manager, you’ll put our values up in lights by:
