Job summary

Sportsbet Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking a MID-level .NET Engineer to join FanDuel Trading Solutions. You will turn defined designs into robust code, participate in design discussions, and pair program with junior engineers to drive continuous improvement.

You should bring hands-on .NET Core/C# expertise, AI tooling experience, and familiarity with event-driven architectures and modern testing/CI/CD practices. A hybrid work model and strong benefits await.

Qualifications

• Proven software engineering experience with strong hands-on expertise in .NET Core, C#, IoC and dependency injection.
• Demonstrated AI fluency and ability to apply AI tools to improve software development, quality and delivery.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ or AWS EventBridge.
• Knowledge of unit testing, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, multithreading and low-latency programming.
• Experience building high-traffic, distributed or mission-critical software systems.

The Position

Reporting to the Software Engineering Manager in our FanDuel Trading Solutions team, you will take a defined design and to turn it into code, applying appropriate technologies and current software engineering best practice. You will write secure, stable, testable, and maintainable code with minimal defects, and participate in team design, scoping, and prioritisation discussions.

We are looking for a Mid-levelEngineer (.Net)to actively engage in technical discussions, assist in designing and implementing solutions, pair program with our more junior engineers, and deliver constant improvements to our systems. You should have most, or all, of the following skills:

• Proven software engineering experience, with strong hands-on expertise in .NET Core, C#, IoC and dependency injection.
• Demonstrated AI fluency, including the ability to use AI-assisted engineering tools and apply AI thoughtfully to improve software development, quality and delivery.
• Experience with event-driven architecture, messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ or AWS EventBridge, and distributed caching solutions such as Redis or Memcached.
• Strong knowledge of unit testing, mocking frameworks, TDD or BDD, CI/CD practices, cloud infrastructure, multithreading and low-latency programming.
• Experience building high-traffic, distributed or high-throughput mission-critical software systems.
