Job summary

Sportsbet Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking an Insights Analyst to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights that improve decision-making and customer experience. You’ll focus on Value, Premium and Highly Engaged segments, delivering analytics projects that create efficiency and business impact.

You’ll analyse large datasets, lead end-to-end studies, partner with stakeholders, and translate analytics into compelling data stories and visuals for presentations.

Qualifications

• Advanced SQL or equivalent data-querying capability.
• Experience using BI tools such as Power BI and dashboard design.
• Experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, data extraction and manipulation.
• A bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in business, mathematics, finance, CS, data science or related field.

About the Role

As an Insights Analyst, you’ll turn complex data into clear, actionable insights that improve decision-making and business performance. Working across the organisation, with a particular focus on Value, Premium and Highly Engaged customer areas, you’ll deliver analytical projects that create greater efficiency, solve business problems and strengthen the customer experience.

• Partner with stakeholders to understand their objectives and align analytical outcomes to business needs.
• Bring complex analysis to life through clear data stories, visualisations and presentations.
• Proactively identify opportunities for analysis, optimisation, experimentation and improved reporting.

About You

You’re naturally curious, commercially minded and comfortable questioning traditional thinking. You combine strong attention to detail with the ability to act at pace, make considered decisions and work independently. Collaborative and consultative, you build trusted stakeholder relationships and can explain complex ideas in a simple, engaging way.

What You Will Bring

• Advanced SQL or equivalent data-querying capability, along with strong Excel skills.
• Experience using business intelligence and data visualisation tools, such as Power BI, including dashboard design.
• Demonstrated experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, data extraction and manipulation.
• A proven ability to translate analytics and stakeholder consultation into actionable business insights.
• A bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in business, mathematics, finance, computer science, data science or a related discipline.
