4DMedical is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Algorithm Team, working with C++, Python and UI engineers to develop next-generation lung function analysis software.

You will contribute to design, development and verification of world-leading medical image analysis technology, ensuring secure, maintainable deployments in regulated environments and supporting production-ready releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields.
• Solid experience in production-quality modern C++ (5+ years).
• Experience in Python is a plus.
• Experience with Digital Image Processing.
• Proven experience in a test-driven environment.
• Experience in Linux with containerised images.
• Machine learning techniques, both training and inference.
• Ability to present and render scientific data, ideally with HTML/CSS.
• Experience in regulated industries such as medical or finance software is helpful but not essential.

As a Software Engineer on our Algorithm Team, you will work closely within a heterogenous team of C++, Python and UI software engineers to develop, build, and verify the next generation of our world-leading image processing and flow analysis software. You will work on designing, developing and improving our lung function analysis software, making use of both conventional image processing and ML methods. You will play an important part of a small but dedicated team in delivering world-leading medical image analysis technology to our customers – ensuring that our deployments are secure, maintainable, and compliant with rigorous regulatory standards. You will play an integral role in supporting the transition of the software releases to production and seek opportunities for continuous improvement to better support our production deployments

Responsibilities

• Experience in highly-regulated industries such as medical and finance software will be helpful, but not essential in understanding how we work
