Job summary

4DMedical is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Structure Algorithm Team. You will design, develop and improve our lung and heart structure analysis software using traditional image processing and ML, collaborating across teams to ensure production readiness and regulatory compliance.

You will contribute to production deployments, improve verification/documentation, and work in a high-performance Agile environment with hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields.
• At least 8 years' experience in clean, well-structured production quality Python.
• Proven experience in a highly test-driven environment.
• Experience in developing on Linux with containerised images.
• Experience with Digital Image Processing is a plus.
• Experience implementing and working with machine learning inference a plus.

As a Software Engineer on our Structure Algorithm Team , you will work closely within a heterogenous team of software engineers and machine learning engineers to develop, build, and verify the next generation of our world-leading image processing software. You will work on designing, developing and improving our lung and heart structure analysis software, making use of both conventional image processing and ML methods. You will play an important part of a small but dedicated team in delivering world-leading medical image analysis technology to our customers – ensuring that our deployments are secure, maintainable, and compliant with rigorous regulatory standards. You will play an integral role in supporting the transition of the software releases to production and seek opportunities for continuous improvement to better support our production deployments.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Design, develop and improve image analysis software.

Desirable

• Demonstrated skills presenting and rendering scientific data consistently, ideally using HTML/CSS technologies
• Experience in highly-regulated industries such as medical and finance software will be helpful, but not essential in understanding how we work
