Job summary

KBR Australia is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join the Mission Integration team. You will contribute to cutting-edge software solutions supporting Defence capabilities and work across the full software development lifecycle in an agile environment.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, participate in planning and reviews, and help drive quality through testing and documentation. A NV1 Defence Security Clearance is required, with opportunities to work on Defence platforms

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a software engineer or similar role.
Experience developing applications using ASP.NET, C#, HTML, JavaScript.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, including Stored Procedures.
Object-oriented programming principles.
Experience with unit testing methodologies & frameworks.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop high-quality software in line with engineering standards and best practices.
Participate in Agile software development activities (sprints, planning, stand-ups, reviews).
Assist with task decomposition, work planning and effort estimation.
Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and features.
Conduct and support unit testing, performance testing and system integration.
Contribute to system and technical documentation.
Collaborate with engineers, PMs and stakeholders to ensure project success.
Support continuous improvement across software engineering processes.
Represent KBR professionally in line with policies and security standards.
