Job summary

Cable is building an AI-native energy platform in Australia. As an early engineer, you will own substantial parts of the product, from business problems through data models and back-end systems, and will shape how the platform scales. You’ll work with coding agents daily to ship robust workflows and support our energy specialists and GTM team.

You’ll help set the engineering foundations, balance security with speed, and tackle complex energy data challenges to deliver value to customers fast.

Qualifications

• 3+ years shipping software in a startup or scale-up with high engineering standards.
• Deep understanding of modern full-stack software and ability to own products end-to-end.
• You view AI tooling as core to how you work and improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own large parts of Cable from problem to interface, data model and backend.
• Build with coding agents daily: scope, context, and ship workflows.
• Collaborate with energy specialists and GTM to turn ideas into production.
• Define engineering foundations: security, billing, reliability, and simplicity.
• Tackle hard energy and data problems like meter readings and prices.
