Job summary

hipages, Australia's leading home‑services platform, seeks a Platform Engineer to build and improve the shared platform powering engineers, product teams and AI agents. You’ll shape harnesses, plugins, MCP integrations and internal AI CLIs, delivering robust, observable systems.

Work involves enhancing the SDLC tooling, wiring AI tooling, and deploying with AWS/Kubernetes and Terraform. You’ll collaborate across squads in a hybrid Sydney-based team and enjoy clear career growth, hands-on

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience, writing clean, tested, maintainable code.
• Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and/or Python.
• Experience with APIs and tooling to improve developer experience and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, ship, and maintain harness, platform features, plugins and MCP integrations.
• Improve hipages' SDLC tooling, increase test coverage and code quality.
• Wire up agent tooling and automate verification using Playwright and Maestro; instrument observability.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers and designers; contribute to production infra on AWS/Kubernetes with Terraform.
