Job summary

Cable, Australia’s battery-backed electricity company, is building an AI-native platform. We’re seeking an engineer who will own products end to end, from the business problem to the interface and backend, shaping how Cable operates for real customers.

You will work with coding agents daily, set engineering foundations, and collaborate with energy specialists and GTM teams to turn data into reliable products.

Qualifications

• 3+ years shipping software in a startup or larger company with high engineering standards.
• Deep knowledge of the modern full-stack software stack and the ability to take a product from ambiguous problem to a robust interface.
• Experience with AI-native tooling and coordinating workflows across multiple coding agents.
• Strong focus on software quality and production readiness.
• Ability to own features end-to-end and collaborate with energy specialists and GTM teams.

Responsibilities

• Own large chunks of Cable from problem to interface, data model and backend.
• Scope the work for coding agents and ship workflows that others can reuse.
• Help energy specialists and GTM teams turn ideas into production-ready software.
• Set engineering foundations, balancing security and billing with simplicity.
• Tackle hard energy and data problems like meter readings and weather.
