Job summary

1st Care Community Victoria is seeking a Social Group Coordinator to plan and deliver welcoming group programs for older people. You will help participants build friendships, enjoy activities, and stay connected with their community.

Responsibilities include planning sessions, organising outings, coordinating staff and volunteers, and ensuring safety and accessibility. A person-centred approach and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience facilitating groups, lifestyle programs or community activities for older people.
• Strong organisation and communication skills; able to lead activities and coordinate a team.
• Person-centred approach; supports choice, inclusion and cultural preferences.
• Current First Aid and CPR; National Police Check or willingness to obtain; NDIS Worker Screening where required.
• Current driver’s licence; willing to travel locally; insured vehicle where required.
• Desirable qualifications in Leisure and Health, Community Services, or Individual Support; Greek/Italian language skills and dementia experience are highly regarded.
