Job summary

Blackall Range Care Group is seeking a dedicated team member to support the Social Respite Centre in our community. You will assist with program planning, client transport, and safety compliance while delivering compassionate care within our Not-for-Profit Aged Care setting.

Applicants must have a Cert III in Aged Care, current First Aid/CPR, and be able to drive a small bus. Flexible days for leave coverage and a caring, fun attitude are valued.

Qualifications

• Cert III in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent.
• Current First Aid & CPR.
• Confidence to drive a small bus (no special license required).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and plan the activities of the Social Respite Centre.
• Carry out WHS and risk management for activities and transportation.
• Undertake risk assessments with contingency plans.
• Record and maintain client information in the information data program.
• Coordinate services with the team and support clients’ needs.

Duties and Tasks (please see below for a link to the Position Description for a full list)

• Prepare and plan the activities of the Social Respite Centre;
• Carry out work health and safety and risk management in relation to activities undertaken with clients and with transportation arrangements;
• Undertake risk management assessments of all planned activities and excursions, and include contingency plans;
• Record and maintain client information on the information data program;
• Participate as a member of the team in the coordination of services and manage issues encountered for clients of the service;

What We are Looking For

Must-haves:

• Cert III in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent;
• Current First Aid & CPR;
• Confidence to drive a small bus (no special license required);
• Flexibility to work extra days for leave coverage;
• A sense of fun.
