Job summary

Anglicare Southern Queensland is seeking Service Support Workers to provide cleaning support to clients in their own homes across the Sunshine Coast region, including Gympie. You will help with domestic tasks while following care plans and maintaining professional boundaries with clients and families.

Applicants should have cleaning experience, be comfortable with housekeeping equipment, and be able to work independently with elderly clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning and housekeeping.
• Ability to follow domestic care plans for clients.
• Clear communicator who maintains professional boundaries with clients and families.
• Ability to work independently and effectively with the elderly.
• Current driver licence and reliable vehicle; National Police Certificate; vaccinations as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide cleaning support to clients in their homes.
• Follow domestic care plans for each client.
• Communicate with clients and families professionally.
• Travel to client locations within the Sunshine Coast region, including Gympie.

About the Role:

We currently haveService Support Workerpositions available to service clients across theSunshine Coastregion.Our workers provide invaluable support by providing cleaning support to our clients in their homes.

Some suburbs of travel required in this role:

• Gympie

We are looking for applicants that have:

• Experience in cleaning
• Comfortable in the use of housekeeping equipment
• Able to follow domestic care plans
• Clear communicator who can maintain professional boundaries with clients and their families
• Demonstrated ability to be able to work independently and effectively with the elderly

The physical demands of this role will include standing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching etc.

• A Certificate II or III in Asset Maintenance (Cleaning Operations) will be highly regardedbut not required

The following will be required of successful applicants:

• Current Driver Licence and your own reliable vehicle
• A current National Police Certificate
• Tetanus and Hepatitis B shots (or willingness to obtain)
