Huntress, a remote-first cybersecurity company, seeks a Security Operations Manager in Australia to lead global SOC efforts and scale operations. The role focuses on building processes, ensuring 24/7 coverage, and mentoring analysts to meet high security standards.

You will collaborate with Product, Support, and security teams to drive capabilities and improvements while advancing Huntress’ mission. This position offers a fully remote arrangement with key benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a global 24x7 SOC as a Security Analyst.
• 2+ years as a team lead or manager in an SOC/IR context.
• Active participation in the information security community.
• Ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Data-driven mindset with knowledge of threat detection and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and enforce internal processes to reduce burnout and raise productivity.
• Manage 24/7 shift coverage for 365 days a year.
• Hold weekly 1:1 meetings to progress analysts' careers.
• Develop training programs in Digital Forensics, IR, Malware Analysis, Detection, Threat Hunting, and Automation.
• Collaborate with Product to prioritize new capabilities.
• Coordinate with Support to streamline SOC workflows for customers.
• Partner with Tactical Response, Threat Hunting, and Detection Engineering teams.
