Job summary

Huntress seeks a hands-on SOC Analyst to operate in a remote‑first environment in Australia. You’ll detect and respond to cybercrime, triage intrusions, and help remove attackers before they achieve their objectives.

You’ll analyse endpoint telemetry, logs, and malware indicators across Windows, Linux and cloud environments, while collaborating with Product and Engineering to enhance MDR services. This is a remote role with global collaboration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in SOC, IR, MDR, or digital forensics.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, or macOS and basic malware analysis.
• Knowledge of AD, PowerShell, GPO, and local account creation.
• Familiar with MITRE ATT&CK techniques.
• Strong networking basics and familiarity with common ports and IPs.
• Able to communicate complex findings clearly in writing and speech.

Responsibilities

• Triage, investigate, respond to, and remediate alerts from Huntress platform.
• Review EDR/SIEM telemetry and logs to determine root causes.
• Perform dynamic malware analysis to extract indicators.
• Contribute to detection signals and improve queues.
• Advise on remediation for compromised Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace tenants.
• Grow skills with real intrusion data and training opportunities.
• Support customer success with escalations related to threats.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to evolve workflows.
