Job summary

Monadelphous is seeking an experienced SMP Superintendent to join our Engineering Construction division, supporting the delivery of a major renewable energy wind farm project in Australia. The role is onsite on a 2:1 FIFO roster and involves leading multi-disciplinary teams, coordinating turbine installation and balance of plant works, and ensuring safety and quality across the project. This is a pivotal site leadership position with long-term career opportunities.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical, Structural Steel, Rigging, Boilermaking or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in a Superintendent role on large-scale renewable energy or major construction projects.
• Experience managing structural and mechanical installation on wind farms or heavy industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of wind turbine installation methodologies and heavy lift operations.
• Proven capability leading multi-disciplinary site teams and subcontractors.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and mentor SMP supervisors, tradespeople and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
• Plan, schedule and coordinate SMP construction activities including wind turbine installation, turbine foundations, nacelle and tower erection, and balance of plant infrastructure.
• Monitor progress against schedules and mitigate risks to cost, schedule and quality.
• Promote and drive safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE policies.
• Provide technical leadership across structural steel and mechanical installation scopes.
• Coordinate labour, materials, cranes and subcontractors to optimise project execution.
• Oversee turbine assembly and installation per OEM requirements and project specs.
• Liaise with client representatives, OEMs and stakeholders to resolve issues and identify improvements.
