Job summary

Monadelphous is seeking an experienced SMP Superintendent to join our Engineering Construction division, supporting the delivery of a major renewable energy wind farm project in Australia. The role is onsite on a 2:1 FIFO roster, reporting to the Construction Manager, and oversees wind turbine installation and balance of plant infrastructure across a large-scale project.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in mechanical/structural disciplines.
• Extensive Superintendent experience on large-scale renewable or major construction projects.
• Experience managing structural and mechanical installation on wind/industrial projects.
• Knowledge of wind turbine installation methodologies and heavy lift operations.
• Leadership of multi-disciplinary site teams and subcontractors.
• Experience with Tier 1/2 contractors.
• Strong planning and organisational skills in fast-paced environments.
• Commitment to safety leadership and workforce wellbeing.
• Willingness to hold Australian Driver's Licence and have full working rights.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and mentor SMP supervisors, tradespeople and subcontractors.
• Plan, schedule and coordinate SMP construction activities for turbine installation and balance of plant.
• Monitor progress against schedules and mitigate risks to cost, schedule, quality.
• Promote safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE policies.
• Provide technical leadership across structural steel and mechanical scopes.
• Coordinate labour, materials, cranes and subcontractors for efficient delivery.
• Oversee turbine assembly and installation to OEM standards.
• Liaise with client, OEMs and stakeholders for updates and improvements.
• Collaborate with Civil, Electrical and Commissioning teams for integrated delivery.
• Support readiness, completions and handover to achieve milestones.
