Job summary

Primero is recruiting SMP Supervisors to join multiple exciting projects in Western Australia. Site-based and hands-on, you will support SMP Superintendents and Construction Manager to prioritise, meet deadlines, and manage crews under pressure with minimal supervision.

FIFO roster: 2:1. You will liaise with procurement, read drawings, coordinate installation of structural, mechanical and piping works, and ensure safety, quality and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Significant SMP Supervisor experience on major projects.
• Experience managing blue collar crews and subcontractors.
• Experience in multi-discipline mining project delivery.
• Ability to read and interpret design drawings and schematics.
• Proven leadership and people-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with procurement personnel for material and consumable requirements.
• Read and interpret specifications, drawings, schematics and reports.
• Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work.
• Supervise structural, mechanical, and piping installation activities to meet targets.
• Ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards are met or exceeded.
• Lead daily pre-start meetings and toolbox talks to maintain safety focus.
• Monitor workforce performance and provide coaching and support.
• Liaise with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to resolve challenges.
• Conduct inspections to verify works before handover.
