Job summary

Webuild is seeking an experienced SMP Superintendent to lead and supervise on-site installation and commissioning of Structural, Mechanical and Piping packages for the K2 project in Kwinana, WA. You will coordinate with contractors, clients and vendors to ensure safe, on-time delivery of activities.

Ideal candidates will have extensive construction and commissioning experience as a superintendent or senior supervisor on LNG, oil & gas, mining and power projects with large rotating equipment, and

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise site installation and commissioning of SMP packages on the K2 project.
• Plan workforce, tools and materials to safely meet milestones and schedules.
• Coordinate with contractors, clients, engineering and vendors to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with ITPs, ITRs, specs and client requirements.
• Promote HSE leadership and Permit-to-Work compliance on site.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced SMP Superintendent to join the K2 project team onsite in Kwinana! In this role, you will Lead and supervise site installation and commissioning of Gas Turbine generator packagen of Structural, Mechanical and Piping (SMP) works for the K2 Project, ensuring construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved drawings, schedules and construction methodologies.

Clough is delivering the design and construction of the Kwinana Gas Power Generation 2 project (K2), a new 220 MW gas fired power station to be built in Kwinana, south of Perth. K2 will deliver fast start, flexible generation to provide critical backup capacity that supports the increasing application of renewable energy across Western Australia.

Your focus will include:

• Workforce Planning, Resource Coordination & Productivity Management to safely deliver project milestones and schedule. This include planning deployment of blue collars, tool, special tools, consumables, special services, parts&material, lifting and matter of this nature.
• SMP Construction & Rotating Equipment Execution, including turbines, static equipment, piping and structural installations and BoP interfacing with other different disciplines and functions.
• Project Planning, Scheduling & Workpack Management with strong focus on execution readiness, progress reporting and scope control.
• Contractor, Client, Engineering & Vendor Coordination to manage interfaces, drive resolution technical issues and drive project outcomes.
• QA/QC, Completions & Handover Management, ensuring compliance with ITPs, ITRs, specifications and client requirements.
• HSE Leadership & Permit-to-Work Compliance, promoting a strong safety culture and effective risk management on site.

What you will bring to the team:

• Experience Construction, Commissioning as Superintendent or Senior Supervisors across major LNG, Oil & Gas, Mining and Power Generation projects. This with involvement of large rotating equipment packages.
