Job summary

Clough is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Designer to join the Kwinana Power Station Project Team in Perth. You will deliver technically sound design outputs, collaborating with stakeholders to meet program, cost and quality targets while ensuring compliance with company requirements.

You will bring Civil Engineering qualifications and proven CAD proficiency (2D/3D) with experience in oil & gas, mining or infrastructure projects, enabling robust design drafting across CAD platforms.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience in a Senior Designer position.
• Knowledge of local and international codes and standards is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technically acceptable design services for approved work.
• Coordinate with technical specialists to ensure design integrity.
• Prepare and file design information from suppliers and other disciplines.
• Contribute to development and improvement of division systems.
• Manage client relations to achieve technical program outcomes.
• Report progress and potential changes to management.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experiencedSenior Structural Designerto join the Kwinana Power Station Project Team in Perth! In this role, you will effectively be responsible for technical design deliverables working closely with stakeholders to ensure timely, cost effective and fit for purpose engineering and design output complying with company requirements.

Cloughis delivering the design andconstructionof theKwinana Gas Power Generation 2 project (K2), a new 220 MW gas fired power station to be built in Kwinana, south of Perth.K2 will deliver fast start, flexible generation to provide critical backup capacity that supports the increasingapplicationof renewable energy across Western Australia.

Your focus will include:

• Delivery of technically acceptable design services for approved work to ensure the development of high levels of client satisfaction and Clough's business needs
• Work with technical specialists to ensure specification compliance, technical integrity of design (technical performance)
• Prepare, check and file design information including documents and data from suppliers and other disciplines
• Contribute to the development, implementation and improvement of systems across the division
• Manage customer relations to achieve mutually satisfactory and technical program outcomes
• Liaise regularly with manager to report progress, areas of concern / issues and potential changes

What you will bring to the team:

• Previous experience in a Senior Designer position
• Good knowledge of local and international Codes and Standards
• Relevant experience is defined as experience with engineering contracting or consultancy organisations in one or more of the following sectors – Oil & Gas, Mining & Minerals and Infrastructure / Utilities
• Detailed understanding and experience of design drafting using 2D and 3D computer assisted design (CAD) tools
• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering
