Job summary

Clough is recruiting a Site Engineer GTG to join the K2 Team in Kwinana. You will provide site-based engineering support for the Gas Turbine Generator package on the K2 Project, assisting construction execution, inspections and completion activities in accordance with approved drawings, OEM requirements and HSSE controls.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day GTG construction activities across SMP and E&I scopes, ensuring works follow IFC docs, OEM manuals and approved work packs.
• Assist with GTG work front coordination, installation sequencing and interfaces between civil, SMP, E&I and commissioning.
• Support resolution of site RFIs, technical queries and minor field changes with stakeholders.
• Assist with inspection, testing and verification activities, including OEM hold points and check sheets.
• Support tracking GTG construction progress, hours allocation vs SOW, punch lists and readiness milestones.
• Ensure GTG works comply with HSSE requirements, including permit-to-work and isolations.
• Coordinate with materials and logistics to support GTG parts, tools and specialist resources.
• Maintain site engineering records, red-line mark-ups and assist with as-built handover documentation.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Engineer GTG to join the K2 Team in Kwinana! In this role, you will effectively Provide site-based engineering support for the Gas Turbine Generator (GTG) package on the K2 Project, assisting construction execution, inspections and completion activities in accordance with approved drawings, OEM requirements and HSSE controls.

Clough is delivering the design and construction of the Kwinana Gas Power Generation 2 project (K2), a new 220 MW gas fired power station to be built in Kwinana, south of Perth. K2 will deliver fast start, flexible generation to provide critical backup capacity that supports the increasing application of renewable energy across Western Australia.

Your focus will include:

• Support day-to-day GTG construction activities across SMP and E&I scopes, ensuring works are executed in accordance with IFC documentation, OEM manuals and approved work packs.

• Coordinate with materials and logistics teams to support availability of GTG parts and equipment, tools and specialist resources.
• Maintain site engineering records, red-line mark-ups and contribute to preparation of as-built and handover documentation.

What you will bring to the team

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Engineering discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in site engineering or construction support roles.
• Previous experience on site installation of large rotating equipment packages especially in installation .
• Explains technical requirements and safety protocols plainly to ensure on-site teams understand tasks perfectly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
