Job summary

Primero is seeking an established SMP Superintendent with major project experience to join a long-term desalination plant project in Australia. You will manage multiple supervisors across structural, mechanical, and piping scopes and operate on a FIFO 2:1 roster with day and night shifts.

You will lead safety-driven supervision, plan resources, and liaise with clients to drive opportunities while ensuring financial and data integrity on site.

Qualifications

• Established SMP Superintendent with major project experience.
• Experience managing multiple supervisors and structural/mechanical/piping scopes.
• FIFO 2:1 roster with day and night shifts.
• Strong HSE understanding and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Proactively plan works to ensure adequate resources.
• Ensure data requirements for robust projects and financial control are met.
• Directly accountable for setting up the supervision team to ensure safety on site.
• Develop relationships with clients to maximise repeat business opportunities.

Excellent Opportunity for an Established SMP Superintendent with Major Project Experience to join a Long-Term Desalination Plant Project. Working closely with the Site Management Team, you will be directly responsible for managing multiple Supervisors and Structureal/Mechanical/Piping scopes. This role is on a FIFO 2:1 Roster with both Dayshift and Nightshift Opportunties available.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Proactively plan the works assigned to you on the project to ensure that the resources required to meet your primary purpose are adequate and fit for purpose.
• Ensure that all data requirements for robust projects and financial control are met consistently, completely and on a timely basis as directed by the site manager / project manager.
• Directly accountable for setting up the Supervision Team to ensure that all activities are conducted in a safe manner for persons working on the site including sub-contractor’s workforce and visitors
• In all dealings with Primero’s clients or prospective clients, develop relationships which maximise the likelihood of repeat or initial business opportunities.
• Liaise with client representatives or sub-contractors on technical and minor contractual issues.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong planning of both Manning and Plant and Equipment.
• Strong ability to create and review SMP construction methodologies.
• Ability to work effectively and lead by example the firm’s personnel and their sub-contractors.
• Strong HSE understanding and implementation skills.
• Possess significant experience within Major Concrete Packages
