Job summary

Warrikal Pty is seeking an accomplished SMP Project Manager to lead major Mechanical, Structural and Piping (SMP) projects from tender through close-out. Based in West Perth with site engagement, you will own project performance across safety, commercial delivery, controls, quality, schedule and client satisfaction.

The role requires 10+ years of SMP experience in mining/resources/construction, strong project controls, and proven ability to deliver fixed-price contracts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' SMP project management experience in mining/resources/construction.
• Proven ability to deliver fixed-price and lump-sum contracts through full lifecycle.
• Strong project controls: budgeting, forecasting, earned value, cost-to-complete.
• Experience leading tender submissions and transitioning projects from award to execution.
• Strong commercial acumen with safe, on-schedule, on-budget delivery.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and client relationship management skills.
• Experience delivering projects in contractor environments (brown/greenfield).
• A mechanical project delivery background is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle from tendering to close-out.
• Develop and execute project delivery strategies and resource plans.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost controls and completion methodologies.
• Drive outcomes in line with contractual obligations and KPIs.
• Maintain robust project controls for progress, risk, schedule and cost.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and promote accountability and performance.
• Contribute input into tender submissions and bid strategies for opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Manage project risks, variations and commercial matters throughout lifecycle.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and safety performance.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
