Job summary

Capital on Tap is seeking a proactive professional to manage the initial commercial relationship with newly approved SME customers. You will educate, activate, and grow their spend by understanding each business and showing how our card adds value.

You will primarily speak with SME owner-directors and finance managers, guiding them from approval to active use as a core payment tool. This is a phone-led, KPI-driven role demanding resilience and commercial insight.

Qualifications

• Experience in phone-based sales, account management, or customer activation.
• Proven track record of meeting clear targets and KPIs.
• Comfortable speaking with business owners and finance professionals.
• Demonstrates commercial curiosity and strong listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a strong first experience for newly approved SME customers.
• Understand each customer’s business model and payment needs.
• Drive increased and sustained card spend through outbound calls.
• Manage a high-volume portfolio and prioritise opportunities effectively.
• Make 20-30 outbound calls per day to decision-makers.
• Work towards clear spend and activation targets.
