Job summary

Capital on Tap is seeking a Customer Engagement professional for a hybrid role, spending time educating and activating recently approved SME customers. You will speak with SME owner-directors and finance managers, helping them move from approved to actively using our card as a core payment tool.

This is a phone-led, KPI-driven position where success comes from commercial curiosity, resilience, and the ability to influence decision-makers. The team operates with the office 2 days per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in phone-based sales or account management.
• Proven track record of meeting targets and KPIs.
• Comfort communicating with SME owners and finance professionals.
• Ability to educate customers about product benefits.

Responsibilities

• Delivering a strong first experience for newly approved SME customers.
• Understanding each customer’s business model and payment needs.
• Driving increased and sustained card spend through proactive outbound calls.
• Managing a high-volume portfolio and prioritising opportunities effectively.
• Making 20-30 outbound calls per day to decision-makers.
• Working towards clear spend and activation targets.
