Black Star Pastry is seeking an enthusiastic team member for our Torte Team to craft slab cakes with precision and consistency. You will be involved in layering, icing, garnishing, and finishing cakes across 60cm slabs, contributing to high-volume production while maintaining top quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in cake assembly, icing, garnishing, and chocolate work.
• Strong focus on Food Safety standards and safe work environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive production tasks and lift heavy items.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce slab cakes to BSP standards.
• Assemble, layer, icing, garnish, and finish cakes with precision.
• Maintain presentation standards and clean, organized work area.
• Understand correct assembly of all cake components and layers.
• Meet daily production targets and deadlines.
• Collaborate with Cake Team and other kitchen sections for smooth flow.
• Take ownership of work and contribute to team success.
