Job summary

BHP is seeking a Site Systems Specialist for Peak Downs Mine on a fixed-term maternity leave contract (approximately 12–13 months), on a Monday to Friday roster. The role focuses on safe, reliable operations and driving system use, continuous improvement and operational excellence across site teams.

You will develop SHMS requirements, provide technical support for Mine Record and Document Management, and facilitate risk assessments while collaborating with diverse teams to build confidence in

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Document Management Processes.
• Experience in Risk Management governance of Safety Health Management Systems.
• Good understanding of Queensland Coal Mining Safety and Health Act, Regulations and recognised standards.
• Ability to balance business needs with practical solutions.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office and attention to detail.
• Well-developed organisational skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for engagement at all levels.
• Ability to analyse data and conduct audits.
• Confidence with public speaking and facilitation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and govern requirements for the site's SHMS.
• Provide technical support for Mine Record and Document Management systems.
• Facilitate Risk Assessments and help develop Site SHMS documents.
• Support Risk/Control Owners to execute responsibilities per Global Standards.
• Design, deliver and evaluate training programs using various methods and technologies.
• Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
